Too bad its sequel Legacy of Blacksilver was never converted to the PC, although its cousin Questron 2 was.

One of the few I've managed to complete, on the C64. A trick I learned was to map the dungeons with a scrabble board, coins to represent doors and etc. More flexible than graph paper. When I cleared the level, I'd transfer it to graph paper then. Also, cheated, saved before entering casino, bet ‘bigly' and saved or reset depending on outcome.

My first CRPG. I never progressed past character level one back in the day even though I was able to complete The Test. I give it 4 stars - but that is generous. The graphics were awesome for their time and actually hold up alright. A few very questionable design decisions though. Combat is frequent and repetitive, without the reward of advancement a XP based system would have. That would be more ok, but for the arbitrary leveling which is required to advance in the game and fails to recognize advancement.big flaw there.

My Favourite RPG. I played and finished it several times on the C64. It was the first game I finished on my own without hints from my friends and it was also the first one I finished before my friends.

This was truly a great game, but sadly underrated even back in the day. I still find the entire 'museum exhibit' concept and the way the game centered around finding gemstone coins to access more of the museum an amazing concept and would love to see something similar someday. And who knows? With the indie scene and crowdsourcing maybe we'll finally see a Legacy of the Ancients II someday.

this so sad pc version ! blips bleeps vs commodore 64 3 voice music synth aka like adlib and 16 color graphics aka Like EGA god they even had VGA cards 256 colors in 1989!
if you want to see this in full bloom get the commodore 64 emulator for the pc and get the d64 file of this game and you will be pleased i still like this one too
